🐓CHICKEN DRIVE-THRU

In the chicken drive-thru, the main thing to know is that the biscuits and breading are not your friend. ❌

The second thing to pay attention to is the fact that many of these drive-thru's will have grilled chicken as well as salads. ✅

Think: GRILLED PROTEIN + VEGGIES 🤩

This combination gives you protein, fiber, healthy carbs, and some fat (although it's not necessarily the good kind from drive-thru...), to keep you full longer and your blood sugar in check.

What you CAN order: ✅

  • Grilled chicken on lettuce instead of the sandwich (load up the veggie toppingsmustard is great.)
  • Salads with grilled chicken (watch the toppings: nuts are usually coated in sugar) (Also watch the vinaigrettes, these sometimes have a lot of added sugars too.)
  • Vegetable sides (green beans, salad) {Coleslaw typically has lots of added sugars, so nix that.}
  • Fresh fruit
  • For breakfast options: Order burrito BOWL (no tortilla with grilled chicken, egg, bacon, or sausage option.)

What to AVOID: ❌

  • Breaded and fried things
  • Sauces (sorry, but ketchup, BBQ, honey mustard and most dressings will have tons of added sugars and are made primarily out of soybean oil {inflammatory and GMO}.)
  • Veggies with added sauces (like coleslaw)
  • Mac N Cheese (made with white flour for pasta)
  • Biscuits
  • Breads
  • Croutons in salads
  • Nuts and dried fruits with added sugars
