Breakfast can be complicated, especially when selections include mainly sugary options.

Here are some general guidelines for eating a healthy breakfast:

OK to eat ✅

Eggs

Bacon

Fruit (fresh only)

Veggies

Omelet

Oatmeal (with NO sugar)

100% Whole wheat (if you can find it)

Cereal with whole grains (Plain cheerios)

Nuts with no sugars added:

(almonds, walnuts, pecans)

Coffee (with real milk or half n' half

+ stevia sweetener)

WATER!



AVOID ❌

Things made with white flour, like:

Biscuits

Pancakes

Bread/Toast

Bagels

Muffins

Oatmeal with sugar

Cereal (kid's types with colors)

Juice

Yogurt (has a ton of added sugars)

Artificial creamers for coffee

(ie. CoffeeMate, anything flavored bc has sugar)
